Ekanem’s love for art was nurtured by her mother through various media, from bead work and interior design to pencil drawing and oil painting. In high school, she opened her mothers turquoise Estee Lauder Makeup purse and tried on a midnight blue eye shadow. There her love for makeup was born. After landing a freelance position to work on a TV show for her University’s TV station, she struggled to find her voice in the makeup industry; A time she describes as her most trying and defining years.

A move to Atlanta for work led to contacts in the beauty industry and her quest for knowledge helped her carve a path for herself focused on healthy skin first.

As the world’s first and only Skin Hydro-Therapist , she runs on the idea that ample hydration is the bedrock for creating delightful makeup looks, whether beauty or editorial.

Ekanem has been honored to work with international brands and leading figures in the beauty community, She is currently working on her esthetician’s license and creating her cosmetic line.

She is always excited when projects allow her to meet new people and travel to new places.
